But occasionally, an awkward way to create an atmosphere of suspension makes audiences tilt their head. For instance, the scene with Dr. Horton in the dark by himself. What's up with the triangle with an eye? The director seems to want to give some conspiracy for fun no matter what the flow of the film is? It would be great with the thrilling discussion only.

Kristin H (jp) wrote: This is literally the worst movie I have ever seen. What makes it so bad is the obvious effort and craftsmanship involved. It's beautifully shot but evidently the writer sat down with the intent of writing original characters and came up instead with the most tired, predictable stereotypes. The protagonist is a horrible person and yet Manic Pixie Dream Girl falls for him...why?? Also one of the most sexist movies I've seen., so it wasn't just tortuously bad, it was also incredibly offensive to me as a woman. Owen Wilson, who FYI is WAY too "unclassically handsome" to be believably cast as TV anchor, telling an unconventially attractive woman "you're no Miss America" and then kissing her on the cheek while she gushes appreciatively is just one of the myriad moments that was utterly stomach turning. Horrible, horrible, horrible.

Steven V (ag) wrote: A nice little thriller with some genre-appropriate and rather predictable twists. The well written and great setting make this movie look very good.

However, overall it is a pretty engaging flick, if you have a taste for the genre and can ignore one or two dead moments or pointless scenes.

Jennie R (mx) wrote: Russian made horror film. Reminded me of Silent Hill meets The Others. Found it boring. They drug out the storyline and I found myself impatiently waiting for the main characters to get killed off. You can find it on FearNet for free if you must see it but there are much better movies out there to invest your time in.
