MF J (es) wrote: This film is quite good! The cast is strong & delivers solid performances. The storyline is interesting enough to keep you wainting for more until the end. I had a great time watching this film even though it's not the best war drma film ever made, this is great entertainment! nyone who ever doubted Mel Griffith could act will be surprised, especially in the long scene where Michel Douglas & her are dancing in the club, her emotional range is impressive! That's acting tour de force in my opinion cuz the shot last at least ten good minutes without a cut!

Nate J (au) wrote: Not really what I was expecting as a Wes Craven 80's horror flick. I watched it as I saw a meme that contained the supposed infamous basketball scene. But there's some good moments, but all in all, the whole thing is very cheesy.

Adam R (au) wrote: A poorly made film that feels like it was on a low budget even though there are some well-known actors. I didn't find anything about it funny and wouldn't say it is worth watching. (First and only viewing - 2/18/2016)

Sausages M (mx) wrote: As is always the case with Bergman, this film is utterly devastating. If you have watched a loved one fall apart and suffer through a mental breakdown then this work will resonate deeply, as it did with me. Harriet Andersson is perfect as the tormented Karin, at once appearing 'normal' until night falls- and the dread approaches. She speaks of voices, and God and of existing in two realities. This is what happens- I know, I've seen it. This alone is convincing, but what makes the film perfect for me is the rest of the cast. Sydow is heatbreaking as her tortured but devoted husband; Passgard affecting as her desperately confused brother; and foremost of all is Bjornstrand's guilty father. It is in him we see the real-life reflection of Karin's delusions. For he has faith, but his is based upon his own miserable experience. Karin's faith falls apart in the maelstrom of her madness, his is strengthened by it.But just when you have lost all hope, we have the final monologue. I can't say more because I'll spoil the plot. If you don't mind having your reality broken for 85 minutes (and beyond, I'll wager), watch this film. Outstanding.
