(fr) wrote: This is a little odd...it's quite an engaging film but what age range is this pitched at? Toddlers love Pat but this storyline will be over their heads (my son didn't have a clue what was going on) or too scary (his mate was terrified), older kids will have no interest as they've moved on to 'Reservoir Dogs' or whatever. It's also a bit too long, don't get me wrong as the accompanying adult at least you'll be mildly entertained but we're not really the target audience are we. 3 year olds aren't going to get meta pop cultural references and Ronan Keating gags.

A weird combination that works perfectly, with the crazy Antoinette cursing up a storm during the most innapropriate times and the funny passive relationship between Dom and Lydia. "You're Polish? I'm Italian. - My mother was Italian. - So was mine." And that scene in the dietician's office with the list of "do and do-nots" might be one of my favorite scenes in cinema. More than anything, I love the message Fatso delivers; that physical appearance is only second to personal happiness.
(mx) wrote: It reminded me a bit of the "Before" trilogy but it just didn't captivate me the same way as those movie did.
(jp) wrote: Tantalizing on its subject matter and very effective at showing its emotion but drags way to much.

(kr) wrote: This had the potential to be a really quirky, fun movie, but I htought the director tried to do many different things with it. Like the Butch and Sundance ending - seriously, can't you come up with your own ideas?!

(au) wrote: What little story there is in Gator quickly yields to the fact that this is just another chance for Burt Reynolds to be awesome, not that that is a bad thing, but it does hold it back from being better.

Production values are top-notch and filmed on location with no expenses spared on the number of extras present. The Zulus are long on bravery but too short on battle strategy.

(it) wrote: A stunning documentary that reveals the internal struggles that America's 16th President had to deal with as he lead a divided nation through an internal war, an ideological fight, all while never abandoning the world stage and having to sometimes sacrifice himself for an ideal that he stands for.I'm only giving this masterpiece a bad rating because I disagree with some of the far-left liberal ideological points it makes.
(au) wrote: I'm guessing I haven't rated this yet because it's been forever since I last watched it. Definitely has the nostalgia factor, along with the extremely gorgeous Phoebe Cates(hey, Gizmo's not the only cute one here). A little on the kooky side sure, but it's good Christmas entertainment so yeah.
(ca) wrote: Not usually a fan of Simon Pegg but kinda liked this.....especially the travel scenes.....if I ignored the stereotypes......although I thought the ending was/the last 20mins were really weak....might have worked better if it hadn't been a rom-com. It was OK though!
