Abb J (ag) wrote: Enchanted: This is, without a doubt, one of the best Disney films in the modern era. What starts out as a classic animated story of a princess about to marry her true love turns upside down when the Evil Queen casts her out of the animated fantasy world of Andalasia and into modern day New York. A delight for kids and adults alike, the predictable story is clever, extremely funny, sweet and chocked full of Oscar-nominated songs. As Giselle, Amy Adams is absolutely enchanting, whether it's her adorable mannerisms and naivety to eventually learning what true love is. A+

If you've heard any Charlie Parker recorded interviews you'll know that Forest Whitakers interpretaion of Bird is sublime. I would have liked a bit more focus on the music and a little less on his sad personal life but then again we've got the albums for that. Eastwood acquired rare early recordings from Birds wife Chan and you can hear them in the movie. Coltrane and Sonny Rollins are my favourite sax players but there's no doubt that Charlie Parker was the Greatest. Parker did for bebop what Coltrane did for modal/modern Jazz. This movie is a great tribute directed with love by a real Jazz fan.

I was taken to see this film as a kid when it came out. I remember liking the stunts, car chases and various gadgets. Nostalgic Generation X-ers will like this film, but I don't know if it would appeal to children today.

Tony Montana's character is a very charismatic man with humble beginnings. This is one of those character driven films where you can feel for the character's emotion. Everybody wants an American dream like he did. Though all these politics in narcotic drugs involving drug overlords still exists till this day that will never end. Which makes this film a real deal! I can appreciate Miami more on this film. Watching it on blu-ray and seeing those sights in Miami, it's just beautiful. I wanna live in the 80s! This is definitely one of the best character driven films if not THE best ever! Must owned and must have home video.

Has an indie, college film class vibe and lots of grey/blue tinted scenes. The creature when revealed was almost video game quality but not too terrible. Solid acting, decent suspense and the ending was jaw dropping. Glad I gave it a shot.
