Aldo M (jp) wrote: A love story, and a tragedy, at first sight. Actually, a deep discussion about the meaning of death, the Christian meaning of death, namely: not the end of everything, it is to arrive home, indeed. The music is great, from beginning to end: OK, my judgement is biased here, I have always loved the bluegrass music. However, the choice of the songs here is really tasty, and, always, it perfectly fits the story. For example, the choice of the song Wayfaring Stranger, with its deep and meaningful lyrics, is perfect: and I can not add anything more, to not spoil the film. However, when you hear the song (I am a poor wayfaring stranger ...), pay deep attention to the words, they are functional to the story.A great movie, that deserves a second view, and, for the music lovers, any number.

A testament to the testes. Am I right?? [rhetorical] A Delicious Dive into the metrosexual activities of the confused robot scene, this adaption of Kevin Killian's sexy novel thrills, delights, and horrifies. Each step was a stumble caught in time. I give it a 90. Truly proof of Tilda Swinton's existence as a sperm dumpster. JK yall. She's remarkable.

Simon D (jp) wrote: unusually, Loach decided to use decent actors in this film and it paid off. It was almost a black comedy at times and although it didn't really rise above the typical Loach grime it did have a fairly satisfying ending.

Ahmed A (fr) wrote: Excellent drama, one of the best trial scenes in cinema with powerful performances from Dietrich, Power and Laughton!

Christopher S (fr) wrote: Classic film noir mystery from director Robert Siodmak. Great style and atmosphere, expert sequences of Hitchcockian suspense, and strong performances - particularly from the beautiful Ella Raines - accentuate a strong Cornel Woolrich story. A suspense classic.

Tim M (gb) wrote: Goofy acting, lame music, it's the 80's alright.

Leonard D (it) wrote: So bad, it's good! The only thing Eva Mendes had going for her, is that she is hot. But aside from that, her role makes as much sense as Jessica Alba from the film Little Fockers!
