Matt C (it) wrote: Seeing as this is widely viewed as a complete train wreck of a movie I was actually pretty pleasantly surprised. Yeah it's probably not quite up to the standard of either of the original versions of this story but they're not exactly 'Citizen Kane' are they so keep your knickers on. This is a pretty solid and enjoyable thriller, no more, no less.
Laura M (mx) wrote: Aditya Chopra always makes me think and this movie gave me some insight into myself. I liked it, but there were parts of it that kind of dragged a little. I feel like I got to know myself a little better through it though, so that's always a good thing.

Nicholas R (gb) wrote: An interesting film that primarily explores the life of a single mother in the Soviet Union. In the end, it boils down to a parable wrapped in a soap opera: the gold digger ends up miserable, the simple hard worker enjoys a life of happiness and the headstrong single mother finds contentment once she accepts her proper place in Soviet society. Overall, a very warm and human portrayal of Soviet life.
Aj V (nl) wrote: This movie wasn't at all what I expected from the title, there wasn't any bloodsucking, but everyone in the movie was a freak. Overall this movie is pointless, it's barely got a plot, and really it's more of a series of people being tortured by freaks. I would advise people to stay away from this movie unless you enjoy pointless torture movies.

Leon B (ru) wrote: Review:All of the old Kung Fu movies were amazing when I was young but now that I've decided to watch them again, they are just about watchable. Some of the old classics are still amazing but the old Jackie Chan movies are badly written, with awful comedy sketches. With this movie, there was way too many characters and I didn't have a clue about the plot after a while. I know that he was a coast guard fighting against Pirates but the more that the plot thickens, it gets well confusing. As usual, the action scenes are amazing and well choreographed but the reasons why they were fighting, we're completely ridiculous. Anyway, I've never really been a big fan of Jackie Chans comedic movies but his fighting styles have always amazed me. I have never seen an actor push himself to the limit as he does with his stunts but I much prefer him in serious movies. As for this movie, it did seem to go on forever and the storyline was all over the place but it's still worth a watch because of its authentic action scenes and original stunts. Watchable!Round-Up:At 61 years old and making nearly $2Billion at the box office, Jackie Chan is definitely a champion in his field. He has made over 120 movies so I'm surprised that his overall gross isn't more but it's still a big achievement. Rush Hour 2 is still his biggest film to date, making nearly $340million at the box office but it's his reputation as an action star that has made him a household name around the world. He has damaged every bone in his body, which is due to his determination to do his own stunts and he is unable to get insurance in some countries because of the extent that he pushes his amazing fighting scenes. This was the 4th movie that he directed and it became a cult smash at that time and I'm sure that there are many collectors that treasure there original videotapes in the early 80's. Anyway, it's not the best Jackie Chan movie that I have seen but it's definitely one worth having if your a Kung Fu fan.I recommend this movie to people who are into their martial arts/action/comedy movies about a coast guard/policeman who is fighting against Pirates and corruption in the police force. 4/10
Michael W (us) wrote: The Iron Lady is a strong movie. I was watching neither a hatch job or propaganda; The Iron Lady told the story right down the middle. Maggie's strong points of being head strong, stubborn, and able to lead were shown as her strengths, but also her weakens. I found The Iron Lady creates a duality where Thatcher's ideals and leadership help in a time of war a recession and caused her own down as an out dated politician looking like last years politician. The viewer experiences the ex Prime Ministers personal life and progress to her older years. Well written, directed and acted. Streep's best role to date. 3 stars.

Matt A (it) wrote: Lance Armstrong is painted out to be a compulsive liar and an all around douche, which I imagine is how he was. However it wasn't as damning as it could of been, yes there were scenes were he is incredibly charismatic and likeable, all through the efforts of a brilliant performance from Ben Foster, one of the most criminally underrated actors out there, but it could've gone deeper. This never really delves into his character, his childhood or anything like that, we are literally taken into the story when he is already an adult and cycling... At just 100 minutes long its quite short. Although I did like the use of news footage of interviews with fans describing how inspirational and influential he is to them.... really did hit home how damaging his lies were. Is it worth repeated viewings? Not really, nothing about this stands out and I had to force myself to watch this as the trailer didn't really scream ''WATCH ME!''. Not really worth buying. Probably wait until it comes on Netflix.
