Caleb M (ru) wrote: Before all you people start going "oh my gosh 5 stars?!" I gave it 5 stars for one reason only: this movie is 100% pure entertaining crap! The acting is ATROCIOUS, the gore is horribly fake, the special effects are unbelievable cheesy...all in all it's just unbelievably horrible. And that's what makes it so hilarious!! A guy gets the top half of his head ripped off & we see his tongue flopping around in the remainder of his mouth, a girl gets her legs ripped off & we see her dragging herself by her hands around the area yelling for help, as her intestines flop behind her...etc. etc. And it all looks ungodly fake! I love it!! Also, this movie is made even better by watching the extra features. One of the teen actors says, "Each of the characters in this movie is really deep! They all have different qualities that make them so interesting!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! Deep?! I think not! Basically, this is bad horror at it's best. Definitely the perfect movie to watch with a bunch of your friends and laugh at it.

Satu S (it) wrote: This movie wouldn't get two and a half stars from me if it wasn't for the amazing performance of Noah Bernett playing the young boy with, let us say, a bit too many feminine attributes. Moreover, even though this movie is a predictable family dramedy it does offer a fresh look at parenting from a gay perspective and thus make for a good conversation piece in some respects.

Wiebke K (ca) wrote: Set in the Northern Territories, the story is about someone telling a story about a time when he told a story to teach a lesson -- an interesting approach to capture oral literacy and an underrepresented culture, without being a documentary.

Becs D (it) wrote: Second viewing of this film and still unsure whether Treadwell was good for the bears and left some kind of legacy or was there because he just wanted to go beyond most human's capabilities and become famous for that fact???

Keith A (mx) wrote: If "Chicago" & "Purple Rain" had a cool baby that started dating OutKast, then, this would be it. The musical numbers are superb, the songs are catchy, the acting is great.

Sandy R (kr) wrote: A wonderful film from the late Japanese anime director Satoshi Kon. Unconventional storytelling at its finest with the true spirit of longing and redemption at its core. I consider this film just one of a string of masterpieces from Kon.
