(jp) wrote: Though vilified by Argento and his fans alike, Cat is, in my opinion, one of Argento's most successful films. Viewed as a companion piece to his brilliant debut (Bird With the Crystal Plummage), Cat is a much more straight-forward giallo and shows that Argento could easily work in a much more structured and script driven atmosphere. The story is compelling and much more believable than the usual Argento. His restraint is what makes this film so unique in his filmography and also draws attention to some of the more subtle visual tricks he is so famous for. In the end, this film is most successful due to the wonderful performance by Karl Madden. He brings an authenticity and depth that very few Argento leads ever have.

(gb) wrote: The majority of a small scout troop led by David Koechner want to quit the scouts as they are seniors in high school and don't want to be seen as dorks any longer. They are out in the woods camping, but decide to return to town to find a party; instead they find it evacuated with a few zombies wandering around. The scouts find the secret party and attempt to rescue the popular kids who've shunned them for years. A lot of gross-out humor plus zombie cats.
