Anna is meant to be coming up to her confirmation, but her mother's joyless zealotry begins to push her away from her inherited faith She's then led into thrilling temptations by her developing passion for local lad Pierre (Youen Leboulanger-Gourvil).'Love Like Poison' is very much a story about conflict between Catholicism and sexuality, a theme made explicit by the forbidding Bible passage about conflict between faith and desire read by the senior priest officiating at Anna's eventful confirmation service. The film is a powerful indictment of the cruelty inherent in making people feel guilty about their natural sexual feelings. However, it isn't a simplistic attack on all things Catholic: the target is clearly the dogma and not the followers. Pere Francois is a hugely sympathetic figure, a sensitive, wise young man with a genuine desire to help others. But he's lonely, and he's driven to desperation by the conflict between the rules of his religion and the painfully obvious mutual attraction between himself and Jeanne. The most uncomfortable scenes come from a desire that's taboo by any standards: the erotic attraction to Anna that her grandfather simply can't conceal. But he's far too frail and too fond of his granddaughter to do anything drastic about it, and (while initially repulsed) Anna eventually comes to see his frankness and hedonism as preferable to the repression she sees elsewhere. This ultimately leads her to deliver what most be one of the greatest funeral orations ever seen on film.A fine, powerfully humane first-love story that moves gracefully through difficult subject matter.

I really loved the new direction of the Godzilla movies ever since the reboot and each entry have delivered amusing to the viewers. However this one is the best one since Godzilla 2000, and it most definitely is a fine example of what makes a Godzilla film stand out among other monster films. The direction is very good and the director comprehends the material and in turn directs a worthwhile entry that will certainly entertain any viewer looking for a good time. The film certainly has a lot to offer and the script and story are well done. The fight is highly entertaining and it definitely is one of the finer among the last entries in the series. If you loved every entry, then this will certainly delight you, and is worth watching you want to see Godzilla up against a classic foe. This is a well directed picture that is certainly well constructed and layered. The movie is exciting and thrilling and delivers what you want out of a monster film. The flaws are there, but the entertainment value makes up for it and it is among one of the best, most memorable films in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed the film and it is one of my favorite of the series as well. Go into this one expecting a memorable viewing experience.
