Will L (fr) wrote: I don't agree with the politics in it, and it misses far more often than it hits, but it has a few laughs. Unfortunately, it's also shockingly Islamaphobic and seems to think fat jokes are the height of comedy.

Jani M (jp) wrote: Dolph Lundgren and Michael Par, how much B can movie get? Much. Add story that can be told in one sentence, cheesy oneliners, cheap bulgarian stunts, all action happening in abandoned buildings and industrial areas. Really don't know why bothered with this one - obviously wasn't worth it.

Eric D (nl) wrote: A dull, painfully long, soulless, visual effects filled and unfunny movie. I can't even say kids would like this because they would probably not be able to stand through the whole 2 hours. Skip this one at all costs, it's an insult to the last Ast (C)rix movie.

Christopher L (gb) wrote: Not going to lie, I still don't know how to feel about this film. It's so incredibly stylish, yet I can't decide if it crossed the line of being creepy and went straight for shock. After a little bit of reflecting I have to admit I DO like this movie- and would even watch it again. If anything maybe I can make some more sense of it.

Paul K (es) wrote: Directed by Nicholas Cage, so it has a kind of offbeat, serious humor and interesting, somewhat dark characters who live lives in the shadows of "regular" society. Sonny is a soldier who returns home to the bordello in New Orleans, tries a "real" life and is shocked, so he goes back to work and hangs out with the girl his mom currently has working there. Will he get out? Will he be resigned to the life he grew up with? Will he find his father? One never knows. The point seemed to be that people with seemingly unconventional skills and lives off the radar can have the same issues and feelings and sensibility as everyone else.

Allan C (us) wrote: This period musical comedy about two sisters trying to win the affection of the same gentleman isn't really my usual cup of tea, but Ricardo Montalban plays the handsome stranger and he's my new obsession. I really think Montalban had the acting chops and on screen charism to be a huge star, but I don't think the Hollywood studio system was ready for a non-white leading man. But to this film in particular, it's a very musically musical, which I don't really care for. I did enjoy Montalban singing and dancing, but there wasn't much else I liked about the film except for Louis Calhern as the harried dad and Debbie Reynolds as the younger daughter.

Connor A (ca) wrote: The theme of Falling Down does not reside in the category of xenophobia, violence or the faults of modern society. It lies in loneliness, frustration and existentialism. Douglas' character does not rampage through the city looking for people to confront; his trail is random and his actions seem confused and spur-of-the-moment. His conflict is not with stingy store owners, Latino gang members or neo-nazis, but rather with himself and the universe surrounding him. He is frustrated with his life, and questions why things are the way they are, pointing out the faults in logic in everyday incidents and responding with violence, the only way he knows how to express his frustration. He is shot by the police at the end, completing the cycle of man notices faults, man no longer conforms, man causes trouble, man is taken out by powers that be; a realistic end to an extraordinary situation.

Vessela D (us) wrote: Leaving aside the fact that seeing Gerard Butler always gives me joy /and not only for his looks, but for his great acting as well;)/, the movie was very good and touching, but also very sad and depressing...

Rick K (mx) wrote: I have always loved this movie, and went online looking for a dvd of it to add to my collection. personally i think it's reynold's best movie and great supporting performances by the entire cast. the "bunny eyes" quote and high rise scene are classics!

Caleb H (fr) wrote: All though signs has experienced some backlash it is still one of Night's better movies. The acting is a bit hammy but acceptable. The tension that the movie builds is the best part and it is very well crafted and smart. The ending however does make me crack a smile for the wrong reasons.
