Mique W (gb) wrote: It's cute what this sleep-inducing bore thinks is smart and funny - sure, they said, let's have these teens talk like how [they think] adults talk, cause art! I can't think of anyone who would use "I was pondering death" as an excuse to not turn in their assignment. Also, George got on my nerves early and often.

Judge L (ru) wrote: Caught this one on Syfy. There was some alright parts, but for the most part this made for TV movie falls well short...just like the ending.

F B (it) wrote: A somewhat confusing and complicated tale due to the jumping timeline which made it a little bit of a disappointing watch. Had it been easier to follow I might have enjoyed it a bit more. Not one I would want to watch again.

Grant S (de) wrote: Mildly interesting. Sets itself up for a solid message but doesn't quite deliver in this regard. Ending feels a bit flat. The journey is OK though...

David L (us) wrote: Trier's general outlook on the human condition is bleak and it shows through and through, though there's too much verbal sophistry and badly needs editing to trim it down from his 3 hour soapbox rant: watch it for the final interactioin between Kidman and God, I mean, james Caan. But for sure this is not a film/theme you will ever likely see again.

Sums I (de) wrote: Ninja stereotypes and an American soldier whose magical youthful training somehow makes him superhuman. No matter how rigorous the training is from the "master Ninja" - they just can't compete with our magical American ninja. This movie is laughably dated too. The insider arms deal, the ninjas throwing smoke balls to make themselves disappear, the "I've seen this a million times" action-movie plot. There's little in the way of good martial arts either... and stupid sprinkled throughout. I mean, why would the master ninja kill one of his dedicated, skilled trainees to prove his "badness". Just dumb.

Ifiok O (kr) wrote: This movie helped make couples everywhere want to make love to the sounds of Ravel's 'Bolero', and women wear beads and corn rows the way Bo Derek did. The film itself has a great comedic performance from Dudley Moore, whose character demonstrates some of the pitfalls men have once they reach a mid-life crisis and the yearnings most men have. And of course I give Bo Derek, on a scale from 1 to 10, an 11.
