(it) wrote: As with all movies based on genocide, this movie is not easy to watch. The focus of this story is the spiritual conflict of two British men that are running a school and church in Rwanda when the government is overthrown. In the end each must make his own difficult choice. This can't be a happy story, but the cast was great and the plot was well developed.

From the outstanding visuals to the incredible score there are so many things to love about this movie. In my opinion its easily one of the most underrated Science Fiction films in the last 10 years. The entire cast is really great. However, the standout for me was Chris Evans. This is definitely my favorite Chris Evans' performance outside of Captain American and I think I might even like this performance more. The visuals and score wow...what more can be said about both of these other than they're absolutely amazing. Even if you don't like the story, you have to at least have great appreciation for the visuals and score. Really mesmerizing stuff.A lot of people really dislike the third act of this film and I can understand why. Personally, I really dug it. Yes, there is a pretty dramatic shift in tone. But that shift just added another trilling aspect to an already intense film. This movie has everything you could possibly want in a Science Fiction film.

(ag) wrote: This movie is so ridiculous, it's awesome. Hoaky acting, over-the-top story, cheesy fight scenes but a whole ton of fun. Kurt Russell plays the perfect "Too cool" character along with his goofy sidekicks and the action scenes are hilarious. Defying the laws of gravity and contains some of the funniest deaths on screen. This film is not for everybody. This film knows how dumb it is and has fun with it. If these lines were in something like a Bourne movie, they would be cringeworthy, but here they are comedic gold. If you like Schlock in your movies, check out Big Trouble in Little China!
(mx) wrote: This wasnt brutal. It does start off verrrrry slow though but the twists are okay. The ending though left a lot yo be desired. just sort of ended abruptly with you still scratching your head wondering why and how it ended at this very point. it didnt make much sense to me. not the worst ive seen but not the best either
(ca) wrote: 'Rosemary's Baby' is surprisingly intense, and checks all the boxes of how a proper horror movie should be.
(mx) wrote: Its a very depressing movie. Stupidity leads to years of terror in a Turkish prison.. Makes me never want to visit. The acting is great. The late Brad Davis made you feel sorry for the man. The surprise was Randy Quaid, he was really good. Definitely worth the watch, one of those films that kind of makes you want to rethink life.
