(gb) wrote: A very odd, very sweet love story. A self-loathing loner retires from life after being rejected by the hot guys at a gay bar (hmm...), and falls in love with a crusty older thief whose life he's saved. Great cast, good directing - but it was frustrating in that, after beginning to care about these characters, the movie just kind of ends without telling us what happens to them.

(nl) wrote: Not saying that all TV movies are bad but when your movie series winds up being swindled into made for TV productions you know you are in trouble. Lets see, the first Omen movie is classic and the rest aren't. The only thing the second one has going for it are a few neat deaths and if that was enough to make a movie cool then I'd say the Saw series is good but those suck too. How do we know that this girl is the spawn of Satan? Because she is shuttled from one adoption agency to another and gives hard scary faces. Accidents pop up for those who get in her way...ok that's enough. This was crap and the nail in the coffin for the Omens.

(jp) wrote: Starring Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell with direction by Howard Hawks, this film's rapid and overlapping dialogue helps make it a witty comedy romance. Grant is a newspaper editor who was formally married to Russell. However, now they are no longer together and she is on the verge of marrying another man. Grant still loves her and tries all the tricks he knows in order to get her back. Soon the two of them are deeply involved in a story having to do with a man who is soon to be hung. As they work to get the scoop, the two of them slowly begin to realize they still leach each other despite their differences. Finally, Russell rejects a normal life with her new fiance and she and Grant unite once again. A directing legend, Hawks has another success with the screwball comedy. Grant and Russell play well off each other and they have a good supporting cast.
