Paul C (mx) wrote: Depicts the dirty drug side of glace bay very well as the documentry follows a few young drug addicts as they struggle to overcome their addiction. The casts are very human, sympathetic, lonely and desperate to escape their hard lives lived in the shadows and backstrets of Glace Bay. Since I live in Glace Bay I can pass on what I have heard and it is good news all of the young people in the film have straightened their lives out for the better!

One thing I don't like is that Tom and Jerry talk a lot in this movie and become friends, unlike the cartoons. Also, this movie doesn't focus on Tom and Jerry and instead it focuses on this girl Robyn Starling. Ultimately, this movie is nothing but a big disappointment for fans of Tom and Jerry.

Chris S (gb) wrote: Sure, the ending's predictable and it's the usual slapstick/screwball comedy expected from Preston Sturges but I personally think this has more heart than Sullivan's Travels, Sturges' most appreciated work, making us feel sorry and empathetic for the hopeful and joyful couple after thinking that they have won the contest, and that means a lot to me since I usually dislike Dick Powell.

Matt H (gb) wrote: Weird to think Astaire and Rogers started their run from this, they barely dance together (and not their best). The main plot of the movie is pretty uninteresting, Gene Raymond is bland and a bore. Dolores Del Rio is solid but doesn't get to shine due to her leading man and the character she is given. The best moments she has is actually with Astaire, who really shines in this movie. The same with Ginger Rogers, both her and Astaire light up comedically every scene they are in, either together or not. Their dancing isn't what stands out to me as much as just their natural charisma. I'll be hunting out the rest of Ginger's movies, I've really come to love her, she's a great comedic actress.

Idiots lke Al Sharpton made ignorant assumptions about the content of the film being racist without even seeing it in the first place. Anything that pisses that guy off makes me happy and besides, Barry White does one of the voices!
