So three years after I wrote this short opinion I rewatched the movie with much more concentration than before because I think Tim Robbins deserves my respect. This time I stayed awake very well and appreciated the soundtrack, written by the Robbins brothers. Although I toroughly hate Replublicans and Tories I enjoyed this movie but felt sick when I heard the lyrics. The end of the movie is a typical real life ending where injustice keeps winning. Awful but truthful. Oh yes my rating got much higher now. See it.

Daniel S (es) wrote: Talk about misleading info, not only is this not about werewolves, but its not really even a horror film (in the traditional sense at least) its very bergman esque, including his 2 mainstays in the leads, sydow and ullmann, it starts out well enough, but starts to become real surreal at the end, not one of my favorite bergman films tho it still isnt a bad film, some pretty creepy imagery and music i must admit

Kevin N (fr) wrote: An originally fun little adventure flick which has gained a kind of horrifyingly accurate global commentary. It's daring at times and meek at others, but always enthralling.
