Add In A Shark Specialist (Brooke Hogan), Some Terrible Acting, It's Ripped Off Plot, Bad Scripting And Horrible Acting, We Are Left With What Is A Great Rip-Off But At The Same Time, Horribly Made This Film Is Terrible And I Didn't Find It The So Bad It's Good. It's Barely Viewable.

There were some cool fight and slow-motion scenes as well as the artistic element in this film worked well for me. There were a lot of random violence, but the movie was about the pain the protagonist had to suffer through, and I thought it was a fine movie.

People getting killed by giant semi-trucks with ACDC playing in the background is awesome no questions asked. The movie is a lot of fun and highly underrated. It's a good time.
(us) wrote: plenty of people absolutely have a hate on for this film but I can't say I dislike it as much as most. The FX are decent and while it's another one of those, everything that can go wrong does go wrong, versus, the slimest chance of survival wins the day, I can't honestly hate the film. The acting is decent, the look of the film is pretty good, the CG still stands up even in HD, and despite the plot seeming to be absolutely ridiculous... it is still just a work of fiction and is mainly there to be entertaining. Of course, it could be more entertaining with a better story, but it isn't entirely boring even if there isn't much tension. Had everyone lived and made it home in some crazy happy ending, then I could honestly say, the film had little merrit. But this film doesn't shy away from people dying and for that alone, I'll give it some credit.
(au) wrote: It's a shame that due to the time the movie was made, that filmmakers were trying to imitate the style of "The matrix" and others like it. Due to this, Jet Li's style of fighting is not properly displayed with the overuse of special effects and such that hinder the authentic look of the fighting. With the films brisk running time of about an hour and twenty minutes, the film speeds by and wastes no time getting to the action, but only when it's done right. I'm not convinced Li was the right choice to lead the film but he makes it entertaining nonetheless with a early Jason Statham along side of him. Overall, entertaining at times but more of a time waster than anything. The last scene was one of the best parts. C-
