Flavia V (us) wrote: Drama????????? This film is a lot, but not this short, boring, word which sometimes come full of bad interpretations. This is the most unique filme I have seen, in which combine perfectly the terror & the humor. Other things, like sceneario & clothing are so well done! The scenario, for exemple, explains the social behavior & personality from that era. The plot came with new features for the vampires classic story, questining "how would be with jewes & gays in this kind of life?" (In a well humored & sutil way). All stuff writenfor the construction of the scene, foccus in the picture, the beauty of the thing, the background actions, instead in the boring chat of the main characters. When someone talks occours in sublime, without no conflicted to movement of characters. The Soundtrack is indeed a creation for terror. This Polanski prima work looks like almost a drawing from kids books becouse is so perfect visually or in movements from the main actors. Its exactly something opposite of the most popular fimes from USA, with long dialogs, romantic music & the tradictional plot.

Geeraard V (it) wrote: First of, the animation style was worth half a star, thats why I gave this movie 3,5. But the story is to much out there (somewhere). Its to slow and I really had to stay and force myself to overcome the first half of the movie. Then all of a sudden things happen without any reason (I could'd see one) Like I said its really out there, maybe am not smart enough to understand :-p All in all an average, but Beautifully drawn, Anime.

Michael S (es) wrote: John Singleton's button-pushing look at campus life is heavy on character types and light on fully realized characters. It's preachy from the get-go, and not believable for a second.

Sydney B (de) wrote: All I have to say is Joan McCracken and Ray MacDonald's Pass the Peace Pipe number is hands down one of the best musical numbers in movie history.

Michael L (fr) wrote: Terrific performances, strong film about people who push social status over personal connections and honest happiness.

Kevin J (nl) wrote: Vertigo can get a little creepy and possessive at the end of the film, but until then, it is an undeniable classic. Director Alfred Hitchcock knows suspense and here, he demonstrates his immense skill. A suspenseful, thrilling, and occasionally scary film that really pulls you in and leaves you on the edge of your seat waiting to see how it all plays out. Though, as I said, the ending is not scary, but decidedly creepy instead of being charming like it may have intended. This holds the film back a bit, but aside from this, Vertigo is a phenomenal film that has certainly aged visually, but its story is just as good as when it came out.

Matt M (es) wrote: An elderly couple is forced to stay apart after they lose their house. Finding their time away from each other almost unbearable, the two get perhaps their last chance to spend time together and relive their great lifelong romance. Leo McCarey's poignantly touching drama is certainly one of the best pieces of traditional American cinema's storytelling, with its timeless disheartening portrayal of generational gaps and the epic and true magic of everlasting love. Moore and Bondi as the elderly couple are fantastic and their characters are absolutely adorable.
