(jp) wrote: Not sure I had ever seen this before and this time saw only 2/3 of it. What a cast of current stars! I have to admit, to my great shock, that 1) Ethan Hawke is slowly starting to grow on me (MINUS the mustache), 2) Men playing guitar do not even come close to growing on me and 3) Ben Stiller was annoying even back in the early 90s. Did he have his teeth done or something???

Code of Silence is Norris's most solid film; not my favorite that's actually still up for grabs. He kicks ass & after he alienates the rest of the force he becomes a one man army taking on the mob accompanied by a heavily artillery prowler. That's what good about this is it doesn't follow the standard formula & write in a terrible romantic interest subplot but instead has one that plays out & plays heavily on the climax. The addition of Henry Silva is great too even though I found he was in this far too little. It just awesome to have him threatening Norris w/ a Mexican Neck Tie & the bearded warrior staying cool & welcoming him to just bring it on right there & then. Code of Silence is just plain badass
