Kari D (ag) wrote: This was an interesting and very educational movie about why food does matter. The movie focuses on how a healthy diet can take the place of many of the pills people consume every day. People aren't aware of what that healthy diet entails and neither do their doctors. According to the movie "less than 6% of graduating physicians in the USA receive any formal training in nutrition". The movie also talks about the benefits of vitamins and the fear that many people have about vitamins. Many people think that vitamins can do more harm than good and create more illness. According to the movie "in 23 years 10 people have died due to vitamins and 2,438,000 people have died because of prescription drugs". The only thing I am missing after watching the movie is an idea of how I can change my eating habits and lifestyle. I felt convinced that the food I have been eating isn't good for me and that there is something better out there for me. Once they started talking about the super foods and how I can reverse any possible health problems I was willing to give it a try. Then the movie ended. I wanted more information on how an average young person, working full time, and going to college full time can find and afford the super foods that they talked about. One of the quotes that I will take away from the movie is "good health makes a lot of sense but it doesn't make a lot of dollars".

Ethan P (gb) wrote: Space Jam is a cultural landmark and a pretty pathetic one, but the one superlative I can offer is that it's actually a pretty cool visual experiment. Blending animation and live action is a creative and unique stylistic choice. It was super cool how the worlds were combined, how the Looney Toon crew could walk around Jordan's house and interact with his kids and Jordan could play basketball, stretch his arms out to dunk and hang with the cartoon characters in their universe. The story is a waste of time, though. It's stupid, silly and tedious. Jordan has to come out of retirement to beat the monsters that stole his friends' basketball skills. The concept is thin, the story is boring and annoying and unfortunately Michael Jordan is a pretty bad actor. It has a few clever lines and some Looney Toons charm, but that doesn't compensate for its many flaws. The one thing it really has going for it is the cool animation.

Paul D (de) wrote: This is one of those cheesy B-movies that are so bad that it is funny...at least for a little while. As the film goes on it becomes more and more of a chore to watch. For a 95 minute running time, it feels so much longer! There are a few laughs to be had...but not enough.

Walter M (jp) wrote: With the death of a CEO of an advertising firm, the board members now vote for his successor. Holding up matters temporarily is the fact that they are not allowed to vote for themselves. Soon, that is rectified when Putney Swope(Arnold Johnson), the music director and the only African American board member, is elected by a wide margin, as nobody thought anybody else would vote for him.(Coincidentally this is how "Titanic" won the Best Picture Oscar in 1997.) Putney quickly and efficiently makes a clean sweep, renaming the firm "Truth and Soul" while only retaining Nathan(Stanley Gottlieb), liking his corruption, and vowing not to work for any accounts that include alcohol, cigarettes or war toys. As satire, "Putney Swope" proves the old adage that what was once provocative and risky in its take on race relations is now safe and dated as the movie eventually runs out of steam. That's not to mention an odd subplot concerning the diminutive President(Pepi Hermine) which is offset by the movie's startling production design. As far as advertising goes, that will always provide a huge target which to the film is a racket like any other which is illustrated by mock advertisements and fictional products, the only exception being the Long Island Rail Road which is only fictional during rush hours.

Jameson P (au) wrote: This picks up nine years after Jesse and Celine's first and only magical night together. But this time around, the moments are much less magic-filled. After some catching up, the two share their regrets and the demons they're battling in their outside relationships, marriage, and parenthood. Their biggest regret is that they'll never know what their lives would have been like if they had met again sooner. This is a much more mature story than Before Sunrise. At this point in my life, I'm not sure I can completely relate to what the characters are going through. But Jesse and Celine are so genuine, it's entrancing watching the two interact again. 8/10.
