Alfred D (gb) wrote: One of my top 3 favorites. This is one of those rare movies that takes time to seep in - not because the story is so complex, but because the film is meant to start a discussion instead of end one. Probably the most thought provoking movie I've seen. I saw it ten years ago and I still find myself seeing the concepts it touches on reflected in everyday life. A smart film that references many classic philosophers, but doesn't require you to have read them all to "get it". Plus it's got Sam Waterston in it - probably the most likable actor out there with the exception of Tom Hanks.

Tom M (es) wrote: Terrific period piece, surprisingly action-less for a crime drama. Carradine, Duvall, Schuck, Remsen, and Fletcher are all wonderful. Lots of memorable scenes that may or may not add up to something bigger but are very satisfying regardless.

Keldon M (ru) wrote: Early Woody Allen movie that is almost a mockumentary.
