Vulcan S (kr) wrote: well assembled cast with solid material; Painted Skin 2 has the potential to rock steadily but the dull script and poor direction hold the production back big time, making the film nearly unwatchable. a highly fantasied mess
Reace T (au) wrote: Best independent animated film I've ever seen, was pretty funny. Whenever Red says something absolutely obnoxious I laughed, the cafe scene had my sides aching from laughter. Tom Ska did a good job voicing the french cop, Lord Tourettes made me laugh in every part he freaked out in. The car chase scene was very well done considering a lot of it was CGI animated. I was expecting something a little more dirty, maybe a little nudity but there wasn't any nudity of any kind, so I was a bit surprised. Guess it's kinda hard to make a stick figure nude huh? But the animation was definitely stepped up from the original web series. But the parts where Ed and Zack were narrating were sorta cheesy, I didn't like those parts very much. I'd rate this movie a 4/5 but if it were out of 10 I'd give it an 8/10. The monster in the end really made the climax which bumped my original rating from a 3 to a 4. But the cheesy narrating keeps it from going to a 5.
Richard S (ru) wrote: This is one of the saddest documentaries I have ever seen. Nim is used throughout his life, at one end of the scale as a science experiment and at the other end as a publicity stunt for a wildlife sanctuary, only for the owners to realise they know nothing about chimps, leaving him alone while they attend to the sanctuary's other occupants, the horses! The documentary is very well made and tells the story from all of those involved, some of whom realise their mistakes, some who still believe they were doing the right thing.
