CG C (it) wrote: a very touching story about a mother who finds strength in herself to allow her sons' have every oppertunity they are intitled to.. i laughed, i cried, watched it more than once.. strong performances by the entire cast. as always a strong performance by mary-louise and a first look at zac efron before his glam debut on disney.

Ryan C (es) wrote: not really a good movie at all first the story was really basic with the unpopular teen getting the guy which was already played out the acting was terrible and was worse then bad on tisdales part she was not right for this role at all and directing wasnt bad but this was just a bad teen movie that shouldnt even be watched once because the dialogue isnt really fitting with the real teen lifestlye but it fit the "make believe movie" teen lifestyle
Tor M (au) wrote: Newer cult classic from Australia. One of the funnier titles out there and quite a funny film too at times. Some shabby souls share a shabby shack and they drink, dream and think about life. They are out of money and some fellas are forcing them to pay up by repeated threats. Well, their lives goes on as we are stuck with their silly ideas, philosophies and weirdness. It's all right, it even has nice looking girls too, but it's never a good film for me. The flat sharing theme is big here, the girlfriend issue is a big thing here, but that's about it. A film I almost didn't watch, since I've had it laying around for many years. It was not a too rewarding experience when I decided to put it on, but it has some nice lines at least.5 out of 10 fishfingers.

Emma B (nl) wrote: This is one of the hardest to sit through films I've ever seen. I forced myself to the end, and honestly, it's not worth it. What a dull, poorly acted load of drivel. It doesn't make sense and is full of conveniences for the plot. The English characters are so stereotypical it seems like they are comedic. It felt like it was lasting my entire life. A marathon of all 3 LOTR films would seem shorter than this. It was so mind-numbing I could feel my blood-pressure rising at the thought of how long was left.
Pam M (ca) wrote: Having watched Gone with the Wind several times, I never understood Scarlett O'Hara's character, nor the sympathy of the other characters toward her. Now I understand. The violence implied by the hickory stick and the brief lecture to Preston Dillard (the Yankee banker) about how to handle Julie Marsden (beat her with a hickory stick, put salve on her wounds and give her a big piece of jewelry) explain a lot about the Southern way of life. The horrid images of the most benign moments of the disinherited African Americans are hard to take, but don't quite explain the social system, but that hickory stick may be the main character of the whole movie.
