(jp) wrote: Marcia Gay Harden is awesome in this movie by director Susan Seidlman. I had never heard of this comedy so I gave it a try. Funny mystery that involves transexual-lesbian couple who are fighting over their daughter. Judy Davis plays the translator in this comedy-mystery that has many twists and turns. Juliette Lewis and Lilli Taylor bring this feature a B+.
(it) wrote: Definitely an odd film. The only reason I picked it up was because of Davies (Rockford, IA represent!)Everything about this film shouted "independent film", but as ackward as it was, it's likely worth the watch. Just don't expect to be blown away. Overall, not a bad movie.

(jp) wrote: i was pretty damn bored for the duration of this movie, not really seeing the big draw to it. it's kind of interesting that i watched it a week before the olympics. neat to see gene hackman in the late sixties, still balding.

In colour with flying scenes that are very well shot for the time this is certainly a production that had plenty of money behind it - ironically probably only because of the war and its propaganda value.
(kr) wrote: Saw this movie with a family friend. She didn't like it but I loved it. Paul Rudd is someone who i have always loved (Since Friends) and still do now. He is so cute. Tina and Paul did well
