(ca) wrote: Clint Eastwood cannot stop himself from making films filled with racist prejudice. This time, we see gangs (of Hmongs, Mexicans, blacks, never white people) confronted with an old fart able to fire his gun to defend his car ... that it is intelligent! Of course, the old white racist protects the nice yellows who come to work for free at his home ... Morality: long live slavery, racist prejudices and old armed fart who shoots the evil immigrants ... Avoid this! This is what Trump America's look like!

I called it the greek broke back mountain. bummers bumming all through the film. it was unnecessarily long. really was spread out too thin, i don't mind bumming but not all the time. alexander was brad pitt (shit).

(ag) wrote: Not sure why the audience rating is so low- I enjoyed this thoroughly as a kid and the second viewing at 17 produced the same reaction.

(us) wrote: A visually engaging film that is pretty thin on character development and plot. Essentially a lesser version of Top Gun that's about cars instead of planes.
(ag) wrote: An expert thriller by John Schlesinger. Dustin Hoffman and Laurence Olivier are too notch. You won't want to go to the dentist after this film.
(ca) wrote: A sad and miserable movie that I didn't really connect with. Very overrated. (First and only viewing - 9/4/2016)
(it) wrote: From Beyond the Grave is a anthology of stories all centering around a antique dealer played perfect by Peter Cushing an the people that have bought stuff from him but tryed to underpay or rip him off in someway i would go threw it story by story but ill just say most are pretty good the first one and the one with Donald Pleasence were the highlight for me really worth a look for any fans of the tales from the darkside movie or anthology movies in general as this one is tops on my list

(ca) wrote: many may like the film for its political points, but I found the film boring
(ag) wrote: This could have been a decent film. Instead, the silliness factor rose to new heights ever so often, and there was so much rubble mixed in that it was almost too annoying. If you missed it the first time round (as I did), miss it this time too.
(fr) wrote: I can safely say this is one of the worst piles of shit I've ever sat through in my life. The film is about Elvis Presley- whoops I mean "Drexl Hemsley" and his twin brother going two seperate paths, one being a successful singer and the other being stuck in dead end job and going on to be an impersonator. And quite frankly neither of them are very appealing. If you're gonna grab an Elvis impersonator at least give us the real story. (It's worth noting Elvis actually did have a twin brother but he died at birth) Extremely wooden acting and dull as fuck songs, religious propaganda abounds and at one point the film just stops to go on a tangent about the Six Day War- it has to be seen to be believed. I can see this film having the same midnight success as The Room. As far as being a compelling drama goes, it's awful. AVOID!!
