The Day the Fish Came Out
A plane carrying a weapon more dangerous than a nuclear weapon goes down near Greece. To prevent panic, the officials go in dressed as tourists (who are dressed so casually that the pilots assume that they are all gay). The pilots are not to make themselves known and can't contact the rescue team. The secrecy causes a comedy of errors including the desolate Greek Isle deciding that since tourists have now arrived, they have to become touristy.

(us) wrote: Generally panned by the "pro" critics. These are the self same people that think the crap you and I paid to see is a "masterpiece" e.g "There will be blood". Its a quiet film, focused on the characters and there lives against the backdrop of the war and its casualties, of which they are. The Vietanam war polarised opinion and made rational debate almost impossible. Gardens of Stone tries to address this. Watch it if you can - its one of James Caan's finest roles.

Mr. Holland knew that there could never be anything between him and Rowena, but he didn't want her to stop chasing after her dream. Now I'm not going to be naive and say there wasn't an attraction between the two, but their reason for the attraction were very different. Overall this movie inspires people to realize that life can take you places where you never intended to be, but if you let it, can be just as rewarding as if you were living your dream. This is one of my favorite movies of Richard Dreyfus along with the movie "Always", and one of my favorite movies of all time.
