The Delta Force

The Delta Force

A 707 aircraft jetliner on its way from Athens to Rome and then to New York City is hijacked by Lebanese terrorists. The terrorists demand that the pilot take them to Beirut. What the terrorists don't realize is that an elite team of commandoes led by Major McCoy (Norris) and by Colonel Alexander (Marvin) has been called into service to eliminate all terrorists on the jetliner.

Based on the real incident of a hijacking of a TWA plane in Athens that was successfully negotiated to a conclusion, this fictional version has the covert Delta Force leader Colonel Nick Alexander team up with Major Scott McCoy to conquer the bad guys by violence. . Michael S (it) wrote: this is the worst movie i have ever seen. seriously. the worst--if i pooped in an empty coffee can, tossed in a fist full of cash and a blank vhs, and put it in a paint shaker, the result would be easier to watch than this film. i would rather watch a home video of my parents having sex.

John B (it) wrote: Fun for the family and kiddies to watch, but, no believable if you're following the story.

Alden S (ag) wrote: 10 out of 10:Intense action, a great story, and a bit of nostalgia from older Bond movies, Skyfall ranks as one of the greatest Bond film.

Lynn C (ca) wrote: This is the most unfocused, flaccid, weak portrayal of a killer that I could imagine. Give me my two hours back so I can watch the Disney channel. Even their limpid plots would surpass this.

Tyler B (fr) wrote: These are the characters I aspire to write one day. Each is richly and infinitely embodied, and, adapted from a story, the film has even the quality of a brilliant short. Furthermore, its depiction of mid-western life is horribly and, I imagine, startlingly accurate, but I'd totally watch it again if only for the wonderfully written characters.

Deb S (fr) wrote: This film is a British gangster thriller that carries an added edge of realism with the police?s discovery of a Range Rover in an Essex wood containing three dead bodies riddled with gunshot wounds. Sean Bean plays the gangster and is convincing as the psychopathic Jason Locke combining ruthless violence with a preening narcissistic streak and Charlie Creed-Miles is the trainee chauffeur, Billy who works for the just-released con and his greedy backstabbing buddies. He is the innocent pawn that is unwittingly pulled into a situation above his head. Alex Kingston brilliantly portrays Jason?s vengeful wife, Lisa and as we learn later on, she is a woman not to be scorned and screws them all literally as well as figuratively with double crosses galore. The film is gutsy, violent, has nasty paybacks and a dark mood to it but I think it?s worth a view.

Amanda G (ru) wrote: HORRIBLE...teens burning someone alive and dancing around his corpse.. racists shooting and killing school children...children being shocked and tortured...all accompanied by annoying musical numbers...wow...this movie sucked and made me feel dirty...i guess the moral of the story was it's bad that black people were killed during apartheid, but they got over the loss of their loved ones quickly and went back to being smiling indentured servants...
