Kevin C (gb) wrote: Mad for it, well not really. After Shane Meadows' embarrassing documentary, this is like a Children's Foundation movie from the 1970s.It celebrates the seminal 1990 gig the Roses played at Spike Island in Widnes. Telling it from a paper-thin story of the most one-dimensional characters you've ever seen. They're scallies who would have been dropped from Brookside for being unbelievable. You may however smile at the fond recreation of the haircuts, pills and baggy jeans. The heady whirl of the Roses' first album played throughout is a treat - the only one.

Lee (es) wrote: An enjoyably awful piece of 70s trash horror. Quite Herschell Gordon Lewis-esque, plays out like a mix of Blood Feast and The Gore Gore Girls as a wealthy occultist fellow lure's prostitutes back to his New Orleans apartment only to sacrifice them to an Aztec God. Lots of nudity, a bit of heart-ripping gore and cheesy acting ensure things never get boring providing plenty of unexpected laughs along the way. It's a disaster of a film though and won't be for everyones taste.

Ian R (es) wrote: Tense little contained drama that falls prey to the conventions of the era. But there are some cool locations to break up the standard tale.
