No, wait, they call him Count Orlock. Any attempt at homage fails in this movie because it's horrible. Made-for-tv effects paired with directionless acting and a pitiful storyline give us nothing. I love awful vampire movies, but this one was just too far gone.

A terrible storm washes them up on a deserted island. About like you'd expect. Lawrence Brother Overload! Whoa!

(au) wrote: 2-8-2014The movie was shot in the fall of 1993 and was not released til the fall of 1995, I don't know why wait for two years for it to come out, maybe because to release the awful Wagons East! first since John Candy finished that around the time of his death. I don't know and care, but both were Candy's last movies. Directed by documentary man Michael Moore, Candy plays American sheriff Bud Boomer who leads an "invasion" of Canada. Because he prefers American beer over Canadian beer. I know strange plot. Why is it called CANADIAN BACON if it doesn't talk about bacon? Beats me, well the movie was still good but sadly Candy's last.John Franklin Candy, 1950-1994

(us) wrote: Saw this movie on TV one day and decided to watch it. I found it very good. It was a wonderful story about love and brotherhood that was absolutely heartbreaking at times. Lorraine Bracco gave an excellent performance. Joseph Mazzello, who was one of the best 90's child stars in my opinion, did an absolutely amazing job on this film. He brought his character to life in a way that I feel most child actors wouldn't be able to. He showed just how talented he is in this film. It was an excellent film.
(au) wrote: A fine movie by Kieslowski. The setting and the story is gloomy and depressing in line with the atmosphere of the movie. However, it has certain flows.
(kr) wrote: Aamir's one of the best performances! Excellent acting, Good plot and a film I can watch again and again!

(es) wrote: This movie has some of that cool German expressionist style, but it also feels like a film noir before film noir was around. The story is one we've seen a million times, the officer who falls in love with the criminal. The ending was good though. Overall it's pretty good, but I think it could have been better.
(ru) wrote: Rango's allusions to the legendary figures and features of its predominant narrative genre lather its already thrilling entertainment with inspiring depth to produce a classic whole -- one that is among the most enjoyable films of 2011 and arguably the best non-Pixar computer-animated movie ever. It doesn't hurt that it's also one of the most gorgeously textured films in memory.
