Tony C (au) wrote: Very cheesy, climate apocalypse movie but some cool FX. The acting looked good but the English dubbing mutilated the dialogue.

Mario R (es) wrote: I wonder why eastern actors in their movies fall so often and so vividly behave. The main character falls down 3 or 4 times, and manages to crash with each of the 3 vehicles he is driving in the movie. Apart from this, this is a good movie, sometimes with good emotional vibrations, filmed in wonderful locations. Some circumstances are highly unlikely (how can a man survive many years in a forest with nothing) but I think that this is the peculiarity of oriental movies. I loved the idea of the "movie inside the movie", in accordance with the love that binds the different characters. This is for sure an original theme.
Mattias E (fr) wrote: Surprisingly and disappointingly traditional action from one of Korea's brightest new hopes in filmmaking. Only the violent beginning and the raw power of the opening scenes are reminiscent of the unorthodox filmmaking skills evident in Jang's terrific debut Rough Cut. The political angle is hardly unconventional either. Granted, not all North Koreans come across as brainwashed killing machines here, but those that matter do, and that hardly brings anything new to the genre.
Jonathan G (ru) wrote: Stupid horrible acting killer is way to unrealistic but funny movie b feel overall if you want a good stupid modern slasher one I recommend

Kat A (de) wrote: A somewhat charming political film starring and produced by fellow Hutt-alum Anna Paquin. A little dry, a little boring at times, a little over-pretentious and pushy in its beliefs, but an alright film nonetheless.
Tom B (mx) wrote: A disturbing study of a clash of cultures. Liu Ye, a Chinese student, is brilliant in cosmology, but lost in coping with America. He is driven, but can't pick up on the cues in dealing with his jealous mentor, picking up an American girl, or even relating to his fellow Chinese students. Ye Liu is riveting as Liu Ye. Aiden Quinn plays the smarmy bullying boss. Streep's & Brown's characters are somewhat more insightful and empathetic, but don't challenge the dominant male.

Steven B (ag) wrote: I love Martin Scorsese. Here you have a streetwise kid from the Bowery...grows up to be a filmmaker of unquestionable vitality...and now humbly takes the time to guide you, without a whiff of pretension, through the best chunks of the Italian films that electrified him as a youth. I vow to one day put my arms around him. Thanks is not enough.
Dillan R (mx) wrote: Fantastic Movie, I thouroughly enjoyed it. The movie was very accurate
K A C (ru) wrote: The film, shot in the early 1940s as a propaganda piece transcends the genre by being genuinely frightening in showing the possibility of invasion. Tense moments abound as the townsfolk slowly realise the menace in their midst and the plucky don't always make it.
