Jason M (ru) wrote: Ghostbusters was an original blockbuster. The epitome of Ackroyd-Murray-Ramis (and Moranis) films, it ranks up there with Blues Brothers, Stripes and Caddyshack. Seemingly a little dated by today's standards, this film was a worldwide phenomenon of the '80s. Unfortunately, its sequels' quality deteriorated quickly like so many other original blockbusters such as "Back To The Future", "Jaws", etc. This movie was built upon a box office winning formula that was repeated throughout the careers of the above-noted actors. Ony Ackroyd and Murray were able to break out of the stereotypes that made them famous, as they became older, as demonstrated in "Driving Miss Daisy" and "Lost In Translation", respectively.

William F (nl) wrote: This has to be one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I watched it as one would a slowly evolving car accident. I couldn't look away thinking it couldn't get any more idiotic and yet it did. Wow. What an embarrassment.
Brad G (mx) wrote: Such an odd film. The story of an evil asshole who does evil asshole stuff and dies an evil asshole death. I really like how it shows the Scarface persona for what it is--Bullshit. Ernest Dickerson is such an interesting director. I wish he'd get out from the land of tv more. Not VF.

Jared K (it) wrote: This is one of my favorite movies of all time. The dialog is clever and memorable. The story is still appropriate to our time. The best of the Jack Ryan movies to date. Harrison Ford has been the best Jack Ryan. All of the recent Jack Ryan actors can't step out of his shadow.

Jack W (de) wrote: Ok so this in my opinion is a movie with amazong atmosphere but terrible acting and special effects. Sam neil in this movie was absolutely terrible and the character Cooper is even worse. That being said this is one movie that had a extreme amount of potential but didn't pull through. If you research some things about this movie the director was extreamly rushed and that could be a leading factor in the acting and special effects. This movie provided a good little scare but had some laughable acting in it too. ALL in all I think this movie didn't deserva a low 24% but I think it isn't anything really special though. Another point I would like to add is some people say its a gore fest, but really compared to tarentino movies or just even some R rated films like this its pretty toned down. But it still has a lot of gore
