Austin W (jp) wrote: this film was mostly a bore it lacked the 3 main things that made the first one great and even lacked what could have made first one better. but what keeps this semi trainwreck from becoming a disaster. the animation is fantastic even better than the first one and even most Disney films. that has to account for something.

Michael B (fr) wrote: A few scenes leave you crying laughing. A few scene try to get you just plain crying and don't. But Bancroft does get you feeling for the big guy. Perhaps it should've focused on the gags a bit more, but a satisfying comedy nonetheless.

Max G (gb) wrote: Perhaps one of my personal favorites for movies. Drumline is everything I love about competition and music. Guts, desire, passion, and execution. The final drumline battle has you at the edge of your seat till the end. Its difficult to put into words how tough drumline is. So I will say this, you better be able to handle criticism, and this movie sure can handle it.

Calum R (mx) wrote: I haven't actually seen Carney's initial Irish music drama 'Once' yet, however his follow-up 'Begin Again' was a movie I truly enjoyed, so I happily approached this with open arms, and I did indeed enjoy this. Perhaps it was the nostalgia, perhaps the fantastic character development, or even the "awkward" relation I felt from when I was once in a school band. With fantastic music from a number of talented 80's artists peppering the soundtrack, with even finer music coming from the cast themselves with their own personal new wave flair, 'Sing Street' has the look and feel of a typical 80's period drama but with the inclusion of joyful music, hilariously embarrassing (if not slightly awkward) humour, and the dedication and determination of the lead characters, along with a somewhat inspirational conclusion. Personally I can't find many flaws with this film, and it's definitely something I would switch on for a feel-good watch. 'Sing Street' is the underrated hit of 2016.
