Sterling T (mx) wrote: Drifting, poetic, quiet romantic longing. In this movie there is suicide, that never really happens, shoot-outs that you don't really see and a love scene that doesn't take place on camera. The viewer is denied everything they would usually see from this kind of plot. The movie has this sleepy morose tone which is quite infectious.
Mike S (ca) wrote: This drama about a woman re-building her life after divorcing her adulterous husband is beautifully shot and has an excellent performance by Diane Lane in the lead. There are many touching, funny, and dramatic moments, but they don't seem to add up to a full plot. In addition, I found that the movie went about 5 minutes too long. If it had ended just a scene earlier, before the conventional Hollywood ending, it would have been a much stronger film.

Tamsin P (fr) wrote: The premise is promising, but it falls into too many Fifties Western conventions; the clean-cut hero, the chases, the fist fights... there's a woman in it, and she's got moxie but she's still a woman in a Fifties adventure film and is therefore good for very little. That said, it did keeps my interest.

Kade C (kr) wrote: A fun filled adventure, filled with some of the best comedy and emotional moments in any Indiana Jones films, The Last Crusade is in my opinion the best from the series. Harrison Ford is incredible once again and Sean Connery was an amazing choice as Indiana's father. The story is also very fun and gets back to the originals roots of finding a biblical artifact. This movie isn't put on the same pedestal as Raiders of the Lost Ark, but it should be, or placed even higher.
Richard B (us) wrote: I've always kind of liked Vera Farmiga and recently liked Andy Garcia in the independent film, City Island and thought this little film looked solid as well. It really reminded me of Before Sunrise, but for middle-aged parents. I really liked the setting of a college visit and thought it really connected with me. The film does take some predictable turns, but overall I thought it was an enjoyable film; now we'll see if they make a sequel in 7 years 'At Graduation' maybe, just kidding.
