(au) wrote: And this marks the second time Steve Guttenberg has given me a movie to review that has a 0% Fresh Rating on Rotten Tomatoes. At least it's better than watching any Police Academy.
(it) wrote: Gary Oldman: an actor achieving perfection through OVERacting. There is NO DOUBT, I believe, that Mr. Oldman becomes whatever part he plays. His movies/roles are more than memorable. Sid Vicious, Vlad the Impaler, LHO, Drexel, the "crazy, drug addicted cop" in The Professional +!!! But Luie V. Beethoven, WOW!!! Awsome, beautiful performance. I am Moved, everytime I see it! PS: Could Mr. Oldeman play the piano before this assignment? Ludwig Van Beethoven, anew, high, in a new manner!!!

(br) wrote: hmmm a few questions here. Was CLASS funny back in the day??? it wasn't for me watching it for the first time 25+ yrs later. Why was CLASS such a big deal back then: why was it made out to be a [email protected]
flick?? There is barely any skin in this. Why is Andrew McCarthy always a big pussy in EVERY FLICK i've seen him in??? These questions and more haunted me while watching CLASS. The flick really is pretty much a disappointment. But wait - its not a total loss......CLASS has 2 great songs in it by the DEAD KENNEDYS and JOAN JETT. Plus Lowe and McCarthy wear some awesome sweaters in this.
(ag) wrote: I saw this movie when I was in the 2nd grade. I just got to the mainland and everyone in our class was making jokes about it to me, probably because I was asian. I remember laughing at things I didn't understand. We watched it a few times over the course of every time we visited our friends house that had this on tape. This is also probably the 2nd movie I ever saw on a VCR (look it up kids). The movie is such a strange mix of corny sketches. I really does seem like a side bar stand up comedian that was given a chance to follow the Kentucky Fried Movie style. It still have some cheesy charm, and I found him running around NY to be still a long time smile moment, but this movie is what it is. And that's cheesy retro fun if you feel inspired to see it.

(jp) wrote: I liked how Bergman mix passion and violence in the perfect way. The movie is a beautiful song of unhappiness.

(us) wrote: fun movie with a clever premise. Had some stupid stuff but still entertaining overall (about 5 viewings)
(ca) wrote: Strange adaptation but good enough. The animated version is definitely better and this one is more unnecessarily over the top.
(nl) wrote: It doesn't keep your interest as well as it should. There were some surprising twists, but I've seen better thrillers. (First and only full viewing - Summer 2007 in theaters)
