Avid C (br) wrote: It's not a straight forward story. Right from the start, it's difficult to get in the clipped dialogs that seem illogical, but the convoluted script gives you all the fun of a number of surprises and twists. Enjoy yourself for 1h40, see it. It doesn't have glitz, but it has character and moral without the moral lesson.
Sam T (fr) wrote: The love-hate dynamic that comes with twins is explored less compellingly as it is more of an excuse to titillate the viewer with some eye candy.
Robert L (jp) wrote: I enjoyed this fantasy. Worth it just for De Niro's performance as the gay flying pirate. Good for families. Lots of swashbuckling. Good special FX (and lots of it). Doesn't take itself too seriously. Sort of reminded me of Princess Bride.
Robert M (nl) wrote: It's ambitious, but the poor directing and and even worse acting overshadow this little independent film with neat ideas.
Manny C (de) wrote: As Dori, a pop singer suffering from schizophrenia with the hots for a Marine (Jonathan Tucker, great) Rachel Leigh Cook does some of her most interesting work ever. Her love for the Marine hits roadblocks though, both in the form of her illness and Tucker's drill-instructor (Val Kilmer). Writer-director Reverge Anselmo does well with actors, particularly Agnes Bruckner as Sue, who takes pride in her blow job skills, but Anselmo, basing his script on true events, overloads things with way too many plots. It flies off the rails quite easily, and sinks to soap opera levels. Sad.

Courtney S (es) wrote: An emotional, melodramatic, and genuine film. On top of all that, Thomas Newman's score adds the cherry on top. This movie is probably in my top 20 movies.

Greg S (us) wrote: A crime syndicate and the FBI hunt a renegade cyborg in a future where arm wrestling is a popular sport and highway signs warn when you're entering an acid rain zone. Some unintentional comedy and an action-packed final third can't help this cheap, lame Italian TERMINATOR (with a touch of BLADE RUNNER) ripoff get off the ground.

Jamie C (ag) wrote: Pierce Brosnan brings Bond back in an up to date (ish) version and most of the film pays off, It's got a good cast, Some good solid 90's action, An easy but predictable plot that we could all see the twists coming from a mile away, Brilliant stunts but the silly one liners totally ruined it for me as there's so many I lost interest in its main scenes, It's one of the better Bond films Just too much humour for me and it's not that realistic but most films from the 90's are the same.
