The Eye torrent reviews

CB M (ca) wrote: McGregor and Blunt are wonderful in this fairly standard romantic development. Scott Thomas provides most of the laughs in a hilarious performance.

Louis W (us) wrote: Actors are inept, writers lack basic writing skills, and the director should be banned from cinematography.

Dimitris K (kr) wrote: No matter how hard you look, you will NEVER find a worst movie than this one. I always try to look for good elements even on a B-movie, and I always rate according to Genre and tallent regardless the budget and actors. In the end of the day, acting only needs a talented performer and a camera. This movie is unbelievable. There is not a single positive comment that I can make. It is the worst scripted and executed movie ever made, and it sets new standards for when it comes to bad movies. It is most likely a church sponsored Bmovie that is trying to pass the idea that "Jesus Loves all Sinners". I completely support the freedom of one person to express his beliefs and ideals through art ! However, there is Art, and there is Junk. This movie has nothing nothing to do with the art of cinema, and it is by no means a Horror movie as described. It would be best described as a religious Bmovie. Terrible !

Martin T (jp) wrote: Pure, classic film noir. An armored car driver plans an elaborate double-cross to rescue his ex-wife from the clutches from a brutal gangster... naturally, there will be consequences. A fatalistic tone, evocative high-contrast photography, tight script, good use of locations, and a gal (Yvonne "Lily Munster" De Carlo) who you're not sure is good or bad. Burt Lancaster is wonderful, here playing an average joe as opposed to his usual role as the man in control. I don't really care much for Dan Duryea, though. I always imagine Richard Widmark doing a better job in his parts. But he's really the only weak part of this otherwise excellent example of the genre.
