Scott M (de) wrote: A delightful trainwreck of awful. At one point goons literally "spawn in" from the ceiling to attack Snoop... like a video game. You can't explain that. Also Snoop is either a bad guy... or The Crow. The movie can't decide.
William G (gb) wrote: BATMAN: Forever is a action packed BATMAN film, even if it can't live up to it's two predecessors, because of the crowded and often confusing storyline.

Rich M (mx) wrote: A film filled with awfulness and evil, yet i was completely fascinated with the casual way it's all presented. Perhaps the best/worst "mondo" movie ever...an important movie among the exploitation genres, but also very tough to sit though.

Daniel K (nl) wrote: 3: I can now officially say that David Lean never made a bad picture. This is without a doubt the lightest Lean film I have seen though. There is little to be serious or grandiose about here. Appropriately, Lean does not treat it as a larger than life story, but instead restricts it to the peculiar little world it was meant to represent. Granted, he obviously didn't have the kind of artistic control at this stage in his career that he would wield later. This is the third in a series of Noel Coward/David Lean collaborations. It is quite entertaining and very unusual for Lean, but perfectly fits in with what I know of Coward. It's the closest I've seen Lean come to screwball comedy. Excellent all-around.

Jonathan A (au) wrote: Extremely underrated. Great action. Well-inspired storyline. A fine performance by Christian Bale (as well as Sean Bean early on). Add it up, and you get one hell of a fine package.
