The Faculty

When some very creepy things start happening around school, the kids at Herrington High make a chilling discovery that confirms their worst suspicions: their teachers really are from another planet! As mind-controlling parasites rapidly begin spreading from the faculty to the students' bodies, it's ultimately up to the few who are left – an unlikely collection of loners, leaders, nerds and jocks – to save the world from alien domination.

To the students at Harrington High, the principal and her posse of teachers have always been a little odd, but lately they've been behaving positively alien. When some very creepy things start happening around school, they make a chilling discovery that confirms their worst suspicions: their teachers really are from another planet! . Philippe M (it) wrote: So minimalistic that nothing is left: no story, no meaningful dialog, no character. Was the purpose to show how empty "simple" people are? Even the photographer seemed to be bored like hell when shooting, as the environment was probably calling for much better than this family holiday-like effort.

Amy H (us) wrote: Not bad for a low budget Rambo kind of horror movie. Entertaining enough

Kristina Z (fr) wrote: I heard it was better than you'd expect from these kind of movies. I watch them all anyway so I want to see it.

Andrew K (jp) wrote: I should probably start by saying that this film is not really that original, not really inventive in its style or message, and probably isn't that rewarding to anyone who is not a fan of Watts or has a general interest in the film industry. However, Watts is so magnetic, so hilarious, so unashamed in her role that all of these films flaws are mostly forgotten or at the very least, forgiven (At least for me).Watts is just great. She is hilarious and throws around some great one-liners worth remembering. Somehow she still manages to create a sympathetic character that will probably stick around in your head after the credits roll.

Branden W (ag) wrote: Luis Buuel's final film is a memorable one, as for the first time in cinema, two actresses play the single role of Conchita, the object of Mathieu's desires. At one point even, the two different actresses alternate their role in the middle of a scene. Fernando Ray, a regular in Buuel's later films, plays the role of the sexually- frustrated Mathieu. Nothing short of marvelous, That Obscure Object of Desire will forever remain a classic in the cult of the surreal, as Buuel concludes his successful career in avant-garde cinema with an arbitrary, absurd cat-and-mouse love story: in other words, typical Luis Buuel.

Mas a actuao de Rufus Thomas que vence o filme e garante que pelo menos 10 dos seus minutos sejam inesquecveis. Johnnie Taylor e Little Milton so tambm nomes a reter depois de ver "Wattstax".

Andrew W (es) wrote: Taking film class and watching dozens of Western films (many excellent ones) may have ruined my watching experience of this film.

Adam P (fr) wrote: This slightly-before-your-time romantic comedy is in fact an incredibly charming and brightly staged tribute to classic screwball comedy. Billy Wilder for the 90s.

Jeff S (us) wrote: Wow, first film in a long while I didn't hate Samuel L. Jackson in. Deep, intriguing plot about morals, love, and friendship, and how they all intertwine and compete in our lives. Really surprised this film hasn't been more embraced by the film-going community, because I really think it deserves appreciation for not only its acting but also for its presentation and feel, which are both excellent. Oh, and the excessive blood really wasn't all that bothersome :)P
