The Family Game

A sendup of the stereo-typical Japanese family: dad is a salaryman jerk, unable to relate to anyone; mom is a hopeless housewife; the older son is a moderate academic success; but the younger son is a rebellious goof-off for whom a tutor must be hired. The tutor, played by the prototypical bad-boy actor Matsuda Yusaku, proceeds to blow the entire family apart.

Arlene C (us) wrote: Kim and Xian is the new comedy-love story team to beat these days. Great movie. You should watch this with your partner.

William G (it) wrote: The bad: Canadian movie based on beer is totally unfunny (safe for one scene in a bar), derivative with a story deemed overdone in 1985. The good: Katharine Isabelle

Sean J (it) wrote: This movie was absolutely horrible. I liked the original franchise, this was just garbage. WWE should be embarrassed to have their name attached to this film.

Scott M (fr) wrote: Incredible film fantastic story and hot women. i loved watching this movie and the second one, i hope they make another continued movie

Mickey D (us) wrote: quite the comical party

Nicole H (mx) wrote: This is one of my favorite movies of all time. I have read reviews implying it was weak in it's ambition. I couldn't disagree more. The story, the acting, and the soundtrack left me wanting to stand up at the end of the movie and give it the standing ovation it deserved. The pain of death and mankind's never ending quest to find immortality, accompanied by the fear of time and it's origins left me breathless.

Rory Fyfe S (jp) wrote: Very funny, clever movie. Great acting.

Grayson W (gb) wrote: Liked the 80s-esque elements such as the lazy security guard, the chicken mobile and the snotty teen fast food worker. Least memorable were the demonic toys themselves, which somehow had a small part in the plot.

Tomas G (nl) wrote: one of the best teen movie

Caleb M (ca) wrote: If you like bizarre screenplays, gross practical special effects, and bare breasts, Xtro is the movie for you!

Bubba M (it) wrote: A great adaptation of E.L. Doctrow's novel.with a great musical Score by Randy Newman

Brendan G (us) wrote: I dont care what the critics say, I don't care what other people say about Lucille Ball in this movie. She's awesome. So she's not a singer/dancer. But she's a great actress. It's her acting that pulls this movie together and keeps it up. I loved it. For a big Lucille Ball fan, I loved it, and always will...

Barry Dominic G (jp) wrote: THE RATING OF THIS MOVIE ONLY PROVES YET AGAIN THE SPIRITUAL RETARDATION AND PSEUDO-INTELLECTUALISM OF SO-CALLED CRITICS... ONE MUST HAVE THE CAPACITY TO GRASP SPIRITUAL METAPHOR AND ALLEGORY IN ORDER TO UNDERSTAND THE TRUE MEANING OF THIS PROFOUNDLY IMPORTANT STORY BY RICHARD BACH AND ITS WONDERFUL TRANSLATION INTO FILM BY HALL BARTLETT... WHICH IS IN FACT AS PHILOSOPHICALLY HIGHLY SPIRITUAL AS IT GETS... NOT THROUGH ANY ORGANISED 'RELIGIOUS' CONNOTATION... BUT PURELY REGARDING THE SIMPLE TRUTH OF QUANTUM UNDERSTANDING AND THE STRUCTURE OF DIVINE CREATION... THE 3D GROSS MATERIAL DRONES WHO CALL THEMSELVES CRITICS ARE MOST OFTEN MERELY PRETENTIOUS, SELF-RIGHTEOUS SPIRITUAL AND EMOTIONAL DERELICTS... I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO ADD THAT THE MUSIC SCORE OF THIS FILM BY NEIL DIAMOND WAS INSPIRED !!!

Private U (mx) wrote: Another Ozu masterpiece. So simple, yet profoundly reflective of what it is to be human, to be part of a family and a community. The cast is stunning, and Ozu's camera lingers on exteriors and interiors in a way to put you right there.

Ryan C (fr) wrote: It's an oddball mixture of crime, kidnapping and vampires that relies on Clooney and Keitel to keep things entertaining and of course there's naked strippers that turn into vampires...so that's good enough, right?

Greg W (kr) wrote: good cast makes this go

John S (br) wrote: When it was released in 1983, "Under Fire" was criticized for simplifying the political situation in Central America and journalistic ethics. A quarter of a century later, it seems impossible to imagine major stars and a major director attempting something this complex. Sometimes dated, "Under Fire" may feel a little slow but it is also unusually gripping and perhaps the last of its kind -- a Hollywood film that uses war as a backdrop to explore questions of love, loyalty and truth. Rent it, stick with it for 30 minutes and you'll be well rewarded. There's a fantastic Jerry Goldsmith score, too boot.

Thunder C (ag) wrote: I expected more out of this one. The 3D effect was cool, but it was only one effect that was cool that they just kept redoing. And this movie wasn't scary at all. With that cool looking poster, you'd think they would've done "more" with that hole and "the dimension". Spoiler alert: You only see that view once and then nothing. Anticipation build up and fail.
