(it) wrote: I rented Scout Camp expecting it to be some kind of family friendly type adventure movie or something but it was more of an hour and 27 minute ad for the Boy Scouts.I've never been a member of the Boy Scouts so that's probably why I didn't get it but I think if I ever were a member, I still would've found this movie lame.I watched about 10-20 minutes before I started to snooze so I hit the off button

(au) wrote: I definitely didn't see the plot twist and ultimate driving plot point coming in this one. A crew has to survey the return of the ship the Event Horizon years after its disappearance. They encounter the force that created the disappearance still onboard. Very interesting concept for what could happen when humans attempt to develop space-time warp drives. Worth seeing even with the extremely creepy ending.

Until then, this is one of the better films involving the IRA hating the English and doing everything in their power to keep from carbombing the hell out them later on in life. Neeson, Rea and Rickman are all in top form and Roberts does a good job despite not being British.
(ca) wrote: Great film delicately created with a large injection of sympathetic humour. Add ethnic diversity and Thamesmead and you have an improbable cinematic gem. This film stands up quite well after 15 years. The awakening and love story between two young men is at the heart of this film with some excellent performances as bookends. Mama and Papas music add a feel good factor. Jonathan Harvey's script is to the point and the film does not drag.
(ag) wrote: It's not 3 stars because it is mediocre; it's 3 stars because the other two were chucked ninja-style. This movie is ridiculous, but in that awesome 80's way. Your video collection might already contain this film but it is hiding, waiting to strike when you least expect it.
(nl) wrote: I had a good time watching it. The story is good (and true by the way), and the suspense keeps your brain working on what might have really happened indeed. The acting is sometimes incoherent though, especially the main character's.
(us) wrote: Another one of my faves as a kid. Didn't remember it being as cheesy. But it's still a fun movie. Maybe those hippies that remade True Grit could redo this one too.
(ca) wrote: Thanks to Lemmon and MacLaine, we get some some great laughs about a man in love with a prostitute and the extreme lengths he takes to keeping her away from other men. Great goofiness as only Lemmon can pull off.
(ca) wrote: Cinematography has been excellent. Some more on South Asians living in UK could be shown to however justify reason of Yasmin's. However Archie has been too good. The film has been a good one to watch.
