Simon P (kr) wrote: A happy family reunion quickly becomes grim, then turns REALLY nasty and things just keep getting worse. My kind of movie! Love the cast too - Mads Mikkelsen, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Eric Cantona are all excellent entertainment, and the stunning Eva Green is sexier than ever (even with her tongue cut out and scars across her mouth)! Class Western.

JaiStar K (au) wrote: It was a very interesting film with different situations by everyone in the family. Half touching half lighthearted.

Joe M (gb) wrote: Flawed but entertaining and overall feel-good family fare. Confused script owes much to the two charming leads.

Lester Y (de) wrote: Yet another well made political documentary. Appropriately fierce and uncompromising film detailing Black/minority disenfranchisement and violation of basic civil rights (in some ways replacing lynching as a tool of social control), all set to the soothing sounds of DJ Shadow's Endtroducing album.

Tor M (de) wrote: This film is build on several stupid people. Anoyingly stupid people I must say. Not very artsy, just weird, disturbing and quite sad. I won't forget the characters in some time, and this might be the film's strongest feature. It reminded me a bit of "Gummo" mixed with "Dogtooth"s sterility and the nudity of "Idioterne". I will remember it, but not as a whole or certain scenes, just the characters. Halv a mark added since I liked that rain scene a lot.

Adam C (ca) wrote: Great film! One of Shane Meadows' best in my opinion, and that's saying something! All the cast are solid performers, including the 2 child leads; but it's Paddy Considine's peculiar and unhinged characterisation of the 'strange but (seemingly) harmless' Morrell, that really steals it and keeps you on tenterhooks throughout! Meadows' writing and direction is accomplished and authentic throughout (watch out for his subtly funny cameo in a blond wig as the chip shop man at the beginning - in homage to his chip-shop-working mum apparently)!

Lucas M (us) wrote: Unlike Vacation & Christmas Vacation, the Griswalds (spelt differently in this movie)give a mediocre performance in a plot that's barely strung together and the jokes are mostly cheap shots. Thankfully, European Vacation succeeds at being a movie is pretty bad its somewhat entertaining with an unusual amount of replay value.
