Amanda C (nl) wrote: There are few films that take misogyny to the levels of My Super Ex-Girlfriend. Uma Therman's Jenny Johnson is a bonified super hero, with super strength and the ability to fly and yet her biggest goal in life is to get a man, she's also the worst exaggeration of the crazy ex-girlfriend trope you could ever help to find. It's demeaning, offensive and that doesn't even take the film's structure into consideration. The fact that films like this get funded and worse, make money, is the great travesty of the film industry.

Ambos protagonistas creen que todo es controlable y predecible como en una partida de billar, pero un trgico accidente de trfico cambia sus vidas y deben aprender a vivir en el nuevo escenario en el que se encuentran.

While the film is far from perfect, it does manage to capture some truly interesting moments in the history on the war on drugs. It is quite informative and interesting. Overall, it certainly is worth the viewing time.

Phil H (au) wrote: Looking for an interesting combination in casting? well look no further, Dan Aykroyd, Gene Hackman and Dom Deluise head this cop buddy flick. This film followed on from the popularity of the 'Lethal Weapon' franchise as did many others of the era and they are all pretty much the same. The unique carrot on a stick here is the casting really. It certainly is an interesting choice, 80's motor mouthed quirky comedy legend Aykroyd, hard assed no nonsense Hackman and farcical spoof maestro Deluise (of the Mel Brooks/Gene Wilder spoof pack) all thrown together. This is the films downfall basically, the three leads are totally incompatible and never gel.The film is your usual regular mismatched cop duo comedy/thriller with all the regular mismatched cop duo moments and sequences you would expect. Action is slow (with Deluise it has to be) and uninspiring and the attempted funny moments are just poor. Aykroyd is suppose to have a multiple personality disorder which you would think could be comedy gold...it isn't, its embarrassing to watch.Pretty much a complete failure on all aspects, Hackman just doesn't fit into this kind of lunacy and it shows. Tries to be along the same lines as 'See No Evil, Hear No Evil' with Wilder and Pryor but doesn't come close.

Andy N (au) wrote: I can only imagine it's going to get really...really bad after this one. I didn't expect much from Hellraiser Inferno, but at least something to do with Pinhead and the Cenobites and their unleashing of hell. I mean 1-4 they're trying to bring Hell to Earth and they almost succeed, but this one doesn't explain how Pinhead is still alive opting instead to tell the tale of a corrupt police officer who stumbles upon the box and then opens it. Instead of being ripped to shreds by Pinhead and the gang, he is instead a product now of his own hell. It's an interesting concept, but there's no gore, the acting is terrible, and you could give a shit less about the main character. There's nothing redeemable about this man to even care about his torment. The film is just boring and is extremely long and while that's an overexaggeration, that's just how boring this film felt.
