The Furious Force of Rhymes
Traveling through four continents and six countries, The Furious Force of Rhymes is a fascinating look at Hip-Hop as trans-national protest music. Over the course of the eighty-four-minute voyage, the viewer encounters characters as diverse as Israeli Jews, marginalized French Arabs, East German skinhead punks and West African feminists, all of whom share a common musical language. Originating from the ghettos of New York, Rap has found adherents in every country in the world. Recognizing themselves in the oppression of U.S. Blacks, people everywhere have adapted the American street music to their own causes. From the Bronx to Africa, this is their story.

(ca) wrote: An independent movie that is now a classic..Never seen before and already 8 years old this movie is a true labor of love..The story is about BREE a male transsexual going through his ultimate sex operation to become a woman. For some not a simple character to relate too..However the movie is funny, warm but does not make fun of transsexuals nor makes any comment about it..its more a movie about the otherness, family, love, transformation and acceptance. Your preconceptions and somehow curiosity will be transformed into empathy and identification through the wry character of Bree marvellously acted out by Felicity Huffman.A truly remarkable, courageous and simply generous movie

(kr) wrote: A charming heist movie with a handsome leading man and ever beautiful Audrey, and of course interesting plot, funny jokes and interesting supporting roles that enrich the movie.

I am a movie fanatic and see tons of movies, and it's up there with some of the more recent critically high rated. I highly suggest it. I'm a huge Michael Pitt fan, I loved him in Boardwalk and love is work on the other side of the camera too. He's amazing and so is Nina Arianda, she plays the perfect role, makes it seem like they fit so naturally. There characters are real live and in living color. Check it out on Starz early premieres if you can. Highly suggest watching for a good movie if you're looking for something good, and you like true story crime robbery movies.
