Astro C (br) wrote: The Movie is waaaaaay toooo looong. The timing isnt the best here and some dialogs between the Beliver and the Sceptic are way better in some X-Files Episodes. Good Story for a short Movie.
Bengel W (nl) wrote: Kevin is delish as an English gentleman making the opening scenes hilarious and this continues throughout. Needless to say, that the eccentric side of the British genius comes forth in fun, giggles and laughter giving the mind a respite from the drudgery of being normal. Writing is fun yet emotional opening the characters superbly as portrayed by a fine group of actors. Nibbles: Knickerbocker glory.

Branden W (mx) wrote: This is a work of pure brilliance. A true great work of inspiration, The League of Gentleman pulls all of the right strings. A miltary-esque inspired bank job, taken from the pages of an American crime paperback called The Golden Fleece. Genius!
Chris B (gb) wrote: With the 2008 restoration that made the film the closest to Ophul's original concept and vision, Lola Montes is mesmerizing! Shot in beautiful Technicolor and showcasing the wonderful settings and beautiful locations Lola Montes looks just as amazing as Martine Carol does portraying her. Max Ophuls' last film and the only one in color, he uses the technicolor to great advantage and adds even more depth to his striking compositions. Deep, complex and with extreme emotion and drama throughout there is no way to take your eyes off the screen. Recommended.

Charperrin W (de) wrote: Could have been better and closer to the game but at least I got to see a movie version of one of my favorite game series.
Peter P (it) wrote: I just saw this again having not seen it since I was a kid and let me tell you, it is not that bad a movie for its time. There are certain things that I guess you never just question when you are a kid, such as: Why are there roads in the dessert? Flashlights on skates and dogs? Rubber Suits? If bodie can fly, why did he not get away when they came for him? Why did the kids let the bountyhunters tie them up when Jason Patric and Peter DeLuise clearly could have beat the crap out of them? Saying that, it is a nice 80's flick that gives us just one more look at our bleak future, I guess I better learn how to skate better.
