(ca) wrote: What starts out as a simple retelling of John Carpenter's Halloween slowly takes on a life of its own in this well-made horror film from first-time directors Norbert Caoili and Rob Portmann. Key to the movie's success is a plot twist that most viewers will likely figure out early on, but the film makers have enough skill to make that twist work for most of the running time. And there are enough thrills along and way to keep any veteran horror fan on the edge of his or her seat at times. Sadly, Caoili and Portmann get a bit twist happy, and there is a last-minute turn that is not as successful as the first.

(us) wrote: As a big fan of William Castle I thought this was a more disappointing entry. Supposed to be Castle's answer to Psycho, this mystery thriller has some shocking moments and a wonderful twist ending, but it all falls flat with a plodding storyline that seems to never end (and that's at a meager 1hr-1/2!) Worth a spin, but may not live up to your expectations.

Corridors of Blood may not live up to the assumptions that come along with such a title, but it is a recommended Karloff. Plus, look out for Ben's murderous henchman: Saruman himself - Christopher Lee!!!
(ag) wrote: Excellent, if probably a little over long, biopic of Douglas Bader, played brilliantly by Kenneth More. A remarkable story of 'stiff upper lip' courage and determination. The supporting cast of British character actors includes Nigel Green, Michael Gough, Eddie Byrne, Sam Kydd, Richard Marner and Michael Ripper. Anton Diffring also appears in one of his trademark Nazi officer roles, while Muriel Pavlow is lovely as Bader's wife.
