Iskandar A (ru) wrote: A story of a man suffering an existential crises as a political prisoner in the regime of the Shah. He is tortured by his obsessive wait for death. a well-made film and a precise depiction o fthe psychological struggle of Man in his most critical experience, facing personally a meaningless death, which no believe can justify. The treatment reminded me of Sartre's "Le Mur". Unfortunately was the depiction of the iranian communist movement very trivial and caricatured.

I also wasn't in a super receptive mood when I watched this but it still was great filmwork. Enjoyed the whole "only music is diegetic" concept that the Coen brothers used in "No Country For Old Men". Definitely loved it.
