(gb) wrote: this movie was BAD. oh my gosh it was definitely one of the WORST horror movies i have EVER seen, and i love horror movies. i waited and waited and waited the entire movie for something even remotely scary or interesting to happen, never happened. not even for a second was this worth viewing. and the ending! don't even get me started. stupid as hell and very frustrating. i give it half a star and that's being NICE.
(br) wrote: Rather a sterile and blank finale with a lack of direction, it is very Efficient yet not exciting. The filming was quite poor and dull, though satisfying and explanatory, it did miss closure with some characters and more action between Lisbeth and her brother in the final show down. Should have shown her brother being executed by the bikers as well as providing viewers with the visual satisfaction of having those involved in the conspiracies locked away, all felt a tad rushed. Considering it was the final chapter, there was much more action in the previous two films. The story itself by Stieg is phenomenally written sending a message of theoretical conspiracies as well as sexism and high powered superiors controlling those inferior and using a strong/mis conveyed character that perfectly portrays that looks can be deceiving and not all victims of organised crime are typical in appearance. It didn't do the book justice because more than the prime character being usually involved in the puzzle pieces, she is detained through out the film too much. The title of the final trilogy is an immaculately relevant and powerful metaphor but unfortunately the film makers were more concerned with fitting the entire story into the film rather than the direction, suspense and it's lack of music when necessary and dramatization, it was just a little all over the place but never the less does end the story according to the book.

(gb) wrote: Awful. While the combat sequences are great, especially the gun battle near the end of the film, this movie takes forever to get off the ground, and is flat-out boring for most of its duration. Plus the ending is pointless and horrible, which really kills the film.
(ag) wrote: basically, the movie would have been a LOT better if the fucking shadow monster wasnt there... seriously... I kinda felt like i was watching those Cube Zero movies or whatever. it was interesting a little bit at first, but it was just corny, and then got not interesting. wtf was up with that shadow thing.. LAME!

(ag) wrote: An amazing movie - at last we see an origins story for the caped crusader and Bale lives the role to perfection. Shows the emotional backstory of the Batman brilliantly. Nolan's thought process & film making is simply outstanding.
