Joshua L (nl) wrote: Well made but not really for me. I don't really dig coming of age films.

Dean M (it) wrote: This is a great Pixar animated short film and really great to see the cast from the Toy Story previous films again. Woody and his gang's new owner is going on a vacation to Hawaii and Barbie and Ken stow away fro a romantic vacation of their own, only to discover that the girl is not taking her school backpack. Woody and his gang mock up a vacation for them and the gags are funny, in character and unexpected.

Wendy C (au) wrote: Long, and it sometimes drags, but worth it to see the ole sparkle in James Cagney's eye once again. What a treat to see Cagney and Pat O'Brien on the screen together one last time. You can tell they were really enjoying it.

Justin A (de) wrote: Another Dracula movie, albeit this time with some stunning visuals. The pacing is nearly perfect, tightening the knot bit by bit until the last act when it sort of lets off the gas pedal. That's pretty much why I have a hard time rating this movie higher. I loved the first 80 or so minutes, but the final act is a lot of "I'm going to go over there... no now here... okay, let's go back there" kind of nonsense. The anticipation builds when Dracula is on the ship, but as soon as he reaches his destination the movie gets dull and there is just too much that happens off camera. This is just a minor criticism, but it kept the movie from being a truly great horror movie. It was close to possibly being the best Dracula adaptation out there, but the final act just hurt it too much. Still, it's one of the better Dracula movies and definitely worth checking out.

Stephen C (ag) wrote: Not as good as the French Connection ,but the Producer of that film does do a strong job with this ace 70s crime flick. Roy Scheider is great as a leader of a gang of renegade cops who get results by bending the rules and sre called the Seven ups because thats how long criminals get when they are caught 7 years and up. The main plot strand deals with the kidnapping of Mobsters and bagmen and shaking them down for cash. This sequence is well done as the robbers corner their victims in car washes where of course Escape is impossible. The best thing about the film by far is of course the nearly 10 minute car chase which even manages to top Bulitt in the excitement stakes. This is mainly due to the excellent stunt work of Driver Bill Hickman and his team who give us one of the most thrilling car chases ever committed to film. The rest of the film is servicable and the ending a bit abrupt but you could do a lot worse rediscovering this 70s cop gem
