The story does provide some suspense and titilation but it's not what the hype would lead you to believe; a scary horror film.

I didn't get how the pieces of the story relate to each other except that Andrei was is most of them, except the first ballooning epilogue which I just don't see the relevance of, but was probably the best bit of the film.

Ken S (gb) wrote: Burt Lancaster and Susan Saradon are both quite good in this tale about an old man who worked for the mob when he was younger, and gets himself embroiled with them again when he helps out a young idiot who stole drugs from the mob. It is an entertaining movie that isn't your typical gangster movie. It is unique, well-made, and worth seeing.
