Still talking dogs that only stay there and by editing you move their mouth...umm...and the acting of the cast...umm...yep, 2 & a half stars of 5. By the story-telling, not bad but still full of cliches. So yes, won't recommend it but watch it if you have kids or miss childhood or just...don't.

Tight as a drum noir from director Robert Siodmak (The Killers, also with BL) with the hospital sequence a suspenseful highlight and the heist that goes pear shaped still rivetting today. In the bar scenes there's great work by character actor Percy Helton as the bartender and Tony Curtis can be glimpsed dancing in the background. Just ignore the jazz flute.
