I do enjoy the Asterix cartoons but this one grated on me. The three musical interludes I fast-forwarded through, esp when Cleopatra was singing and a lot of the animations were repeated through and through. Probably the weakest Asterix cartoon I've seen.

Some of the stand-up bits are identical to his actual shows, but it's a film about him finding love off-stage. It's nice, has a great soundtrack and a good cast, but nothing special or crazy happens.
